Peer-Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to WITECH: Jurnal Teknologi Rekayasa Komputer dan Jaringan undergo a rigorous peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of the published works. The review process is conducted objectively and confidentially, following international scholarly publishing standards.

1. Initial Screening

Upon submission, each manuscript is reviewed by the Editorial Team to assess its conformity with the journal’s focus, scope, and formatting guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet these basic requirements or contain evident plagiarism will be rejected at the preliminary stage without external review.

2. Plagiarism Check

All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software to ensure originality. Only manuscripts with a similarity index below the acceptable threshold (maximum 25%) will proceed to the review stage.

3. Double-Blind Peer Review

Eligible manuscripts are evaluated under a double-blind peer review system, where both reviewers and authors remain anonymous to each other. Each manuscript is typically reviewed by two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.

4. Review Criteria

Reviewers assess manuscripts based on the following academic and methodological criteria:

  • Originality and significance of the study

  • Theoretical and methodological rigor

  • Relevance to public sector financial management

  • Clarity and coherence of argumentation

  • Appropriateness of data analysis and interpretation

  • Accuracy of references and adherence to academic standards

5. Review Outcomes

After evaluation, reviewers will recommend one of the following decisions:

  • Accept without revision

  • Accept with minor revisions

  • Revise and resubmit (major revisions required)

  • Reject

The final decision regarding publication is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on reviewers’ recommendations and the journal’s editorial policy.

6. Revision Process

Authors receiving revision requests must submit a revised version of their manuscript along with a response letter detailing how each reviewer’s comment has been addressed. Revised manuscripts may be re-evaluated by reviewers before a final decision is made.

7. Final Editing and Publication

Once accepted, manuscripts undergo copyediting, layout editing, and proofing prior to online publication. The editorial team ensures consistency, readability, and compliance with the journal’s publication standards.

8. Confidentiality and Objectivity

All review materials and communications are treated as confidential. Editors and reviewers are prohibited from using any part of the manuscript content for personal or professional gain. The peer review process is designed to uphold academic fairness, transparency, and research ethics.
