Archiving Policy

HISAB: Jurnal Akuntansi Lembaga Keuangan Syariah is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of all published scientific content through a sustainable and secure digital archiving policy. Every article published in the journal is systematically stored, indexed, and preserved to guarantee its availability, authenticity, and usability for future generations of researchers.

1. Digital Archiving Systems

To maintain the reliability and continuity of its archives, HISAB utilizes multiple trusted digital preservation systems and networks, including:

  • LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe): Ensures the creation and preservation of multiple copies of the journal across a network of university libraries to safeguard against data loss.

  • CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe): Provides additional distributed and secure archiving to ensure global redundancy and access.

  • PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN): A preservation service provided by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) for OJS-based journals, ensuring automatic and long-term archiving of all published content.

2. Institutional and National Repositories

All articles published in HISAB are archived and made publicly accessible through multiple repositories to enhance visibility and scholarly dissemination, including:

  • Institutional Repository of Politeknik Wahdah Islamiyah Makassar – serving as the official institutional archive of the publisher.

  • Portal Garuda (Garba Rujukan Digital) and Neliti, as national repositories for Indonesian scholarly publications.

  • Google Scholar, to maximize global accessibility and indexing of published works.

3. Author Self-Archiving

Authors are permitted and encouraged to self-archive their work (pre-print, post-print, or final published version) under the following conditions:

  • The archived version must include a statement that the article has been published in HISAB: Jurnal Akuntansi Lembaga Keuangan Syariah.

  • The DOI or official journal URL must be clearly cited to reference the original publication.

  • The archived version must not be modified in format or content from the officially published version.

4. Data Backup and Recovery

All journal data — including manuscripts, metadata, and supplementary materials — are:

  • Automatically backed up through the OJS (Open Journal Systems) infrastructure.

  • Securely stored on institutional servers and cloud-based storage to prevent loss due to technical failure.

  • Recoverable in the event of system disruption or data corruption.

5. Commitment to Sustainable Access

This archiving policy ensures that all content published in HISAB will:

  • Remain publicly accessible on a permanent basis.

  • Retain a stable and unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI), even if the journal undergoes platform or publisher changes.

  • Be freely accessible without temporal, geographical, or institutional restrictions.

6. Archival Format

All published articles are preserved in PDF/A format — the international standard for long-term digital preservation — and accompanied by complete XML Dublin Core metadata to ensure compatibility with indexing databases, repositories, and global digital preservation standards.
