Perr-Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to SINERGI: Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, relevance, and practical impact of the published works.

1. Initial Editorial Screening

Upon submission, the editorial team conducts a preliminary review to evaluate the manuscript’s conformity with the journal’s focus and scope, author guidelines, structure, and ethical standards. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected at this stage.

2. Similarity Check

All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software to ensure originality. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding the acceptable threshold or indicating potential ethical violations will be rejected or returned for clarification.

3. Double-Blind Peer Review

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise. The review process follows a double-blind system, in which both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other to maintain objectivity and fairness.

Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on the following criteria:

  • Relevance to the journal’s focus and scope

  • Clarity of objectives and community engagement design

  • Methodological rigor and implementation approach

  • Innovation and applied value

  • Measurable impact and sustainability

  • Quality of analysis and discussion

  • Organization, clarity, and academic writing standards

4. Review Decision

Based on reviewers’ recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief makes one of the following decisions:

  • Accept without revision

  • Accept with minor revisions

  • Accept with major revisions

  • Reject

Authors are required to revise their manuscripts according to reviewers’ comments within the specified timeframe. Revised manuscripts may be re-evaluated by the reviewers if necessary.

5. Final Decision and Publication

After the manuscript is deemed acceptable, it proceeds to copyediting, layout editing, and proofreading before publication. The final decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief.

SINERGI is committed to upholding publication ethics and maintaining high academic standards throughout the review process. The entire peer review process is conducted professionally, objectively, and transparently to ensure the integrity and quality of published articles.
