Plagiarism Policy

AMANAH: Jurnal Manajemen Keuangan Sektor Publik upholds the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics. The journal strictly prohibits all forms of plagiarism, self-plagiarism, and unethical citation practices in submitted manuscripts.

1. Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism is defined as the presentation of another person’s ideas, words, data, or creative work as one’s own without proper acknowledgment. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Copying text or data from other sources without citation.

  • Paraphrasing substantial portions of another author’s work without appropriate attribution.

  • Using figures, tables, or ideas from previously published materials without permission or citation.

  • Republishing one’s own previously published work (self-plagiarism) without clear reference or justification.

2. Plagiarism Detection

All manuscripts submitted to the journal are screened using plagiarism detection software (such as Turnitin or iThenticate) before being sent for peer review.

  • Manuscripts with a similarity index above 30% will be automatically rejected or returned to the author for revision.

  • Editors may request authors to reduce similarity levels by revising or rephrasing duplicated content, ensuring proper citation, or removing unoriginal material.

3. Editorial Actions on Plagiarism

If plagiarism is detected at any stage of the review or publication process, the editorial board will take the following actions based on the severity of the violation:

  • Minor Plagiarism (e.g., improper citation or short identical phrases): Authors will be notified and required to correct the issue before the review process continues.

  • Major Plagiarism (e.g., extensive copying or data duplication): The manuscript will be rejected immediately and the authors may be prohibited from submitting to the journal for a defined period.

  • Post-Publication Detection: If plagiarism is discovered after publication, the article will be retracted, and a formal notice of retraction will be published on the journal’s website.

4. Responsibilities

  • Authors must ensure that all ideas, quotations, and data from other works are properly cited and referenced according to the APA 7th Edition citation style.

  • Editors and reviewers are responsible for identifying potential plagiarism and reporting it to the editorial board.

  • The publisher reserves the right to investigate any suspected case of plagiarism and take corrective or disciplinary action as necessary.

5. Ethical Statement

By submitting a manuscript to AMANAH, authors affirm that:

  • The work is original and has not been copied, in whole or in part, from other sources.

  • The manuscript has not been published or submitted elsewhere for consideration.

  • All sources used have been properly acknowledged.
