The ability to read the Qur’an is an essential basic skill for students in supporting character development and the practice of religious values. However, some students still experience difficulties in recognizing Arabic letters, pronouncing letters according to their proper articulation points, applying basic recitation rules, and reading the Qur’an fluently. This community service program aimed to improve students’ Qur’an reading skills through structured and continuous mentoring. The methods included identifying students’ initial abilities, delivering learning materials, conducting direct reading practice, providing individual and group assistance, and evaluating learning outcomes. The results showed a measurable improvement in students’ Qur’an reading abilities. At the initial stage, the students achieved an average score of approximately 50, while after participating in the mentoring program, their scores increased to between 70 and 80. This result indicates an improvement of approximately 20–30 points compared with the initial condition. The students also demonstrated increased motivation, confidence, and willingness to practice reading the Qur’an. The program contributes a simple, practical, and student-centered mentoring model that can be implemented sustainably in educational and community settings. Therefore, Qur’an reading mentoring provides an applicable solution for improving students’ reading skills while fostering positive and continuous religious learning habits.
